Introductory note:
Iro Barou was born and raised in Thessaloniki, where from her teenage and early youth years she was active with various groups in the fields of art and culture.
She studied at the University of Western Macedonia – Department of Fine and Applied Arts and specialized in Engraving and Photography and thereafter she became active in those fields.
During the current academic year, she lived and worked in Thessaloniki as a freelance photographer and as an Arts teacher at In public and private schools with kids general and special education.

As a photographer, she mainly dealt professionally with tourism,art projects and cultural,social events as well as interior photography.
On her own projects focusing on differend perspective of realitty and point of view.
The shapes and the light become motive and the results make you questioning and go in depper level of observation.
Νow her paintings and photography are a decorative and important touch in every interior space that has a view and a special aesthetic.
